I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! I had a lot of fun, but am unfortunately back to work tomorrow. Rather than bore you with a long narrative summary of the past three days, I thought I’d reduce it down to some easy to read stats that will give you the overall idea of how I spent my Christmas.
Meals eaten on Christmas day: 3
Calories inhaled: countless
Movies watched: The Hangover (hilarious), 500 Days of Summer (totally endearing) and Chicken Every Sunday (black & white 1950s film – so bad you couldn’t look away)
Episodes of WKRP in Cincinatti watched: 11 (don’t ask)
Number of times my car got stuck in the snow: once
Number of times my car almost got stuck: three
Number of minutes spent with my father staring at my car engine: approximately 25
Number of minutes spent watching men with odd facial hair bowhunt fish on tv: far, far too many
Number of songs learned on the ukulele: 1 (but it’s Elvis so it counts for like 20 normal songs)
Number of times I accidentally shot Joe while playing Left for Dead 2: too many to count
Most embarrassing moment: Bonding with my dad watching Dr. Oz on Christmas Eve (my father loves Dr. Oz) only to have Dr. Oz suddenly say “and now I’m going to share with you the best sex tip you’ll ever need to know”. Never has there been such a mad scramble for the remote so that we could return to the safety of Food TV.
All in all, a very fun xmas – although it went by WAY too fast.
