I love the work of Diem Chau. Her ceramics are simple, but evocative. And really – as someone who never mastered colouring within the lines – the idea of carving crayons into such intricate designs amazes me. She is currently exhibiting at the Packer Schopf Gallery and you can see more of her work from that exhibit here.
In case you’ve been wondering what Kirsten Dunst’s been up to lately – well, she’s starring in a video as Akihabara Majokko Princess at the Tate Museum of Modern Art. The video was created by Takashi Murakami in collaboration with McG and is set in the manga centre of Japan – Akihabara. The exhibition is entitled “Pop Life: Art in a Material World“. Check it out.
The Busride is an architectural/design firm located in Mumbai, India that creates simply amazing spaces. Check out some of these photos of the Smokehouse Deli which they designed in New Delhi. The space was entirely hand-illustrated over just a 25 day period and is designed to create an eccentric interaction between 2D and 3D space while poking fun at “serious restaurant” design. Very cool.
