I never wear aprons – which is completely silly since I am a total spaz in the kitchen and normally end up wearing as much food as I serve – but I’ve just never gotten in the habit. Of course, that was before I found this great octopus apron from Anthropologie – forget my kitchen, I may wear this baby out on the town!

I spent part of my morning avoiding work by poking around the Hang & Paste website and daydreaming about the beautiful rooms I could put together – if only I knew how to wallpaper. If you do know how – you should check out their site for some of the most gorgeous wallpapers around – and, even if you don’t, you should check it out on a day when you’re tired of your house and in the mood to daydream like me!

I recently discovered Erin Hanson’s brilliant website “Recovering Lazyholic” which features her photography and her “stuff”. She is clearly far from lazy as her site is full of brilliant work a couple of examples of which appear below. You should run, not walk, to check out the rest of her work here. Oh and don’t forget to look at her “12 steps” if you are also suffering from lazyism!

Keith Loutit – Small Worlds

Keith Loutit’s films make me feel like Gulliver. It seems impossible that his films are just that – films of actual events – modified with time lapse and tilt-shift techniques so that they appear miniaturized. The end results are amazing. In case you’ve been wondering what Kirsten Dunst’s been up to lately – well, she’s starring in a video as Akihabara Majokko Princess at the Tate Museum of Modern Art. The video was created by Takashi Murakami in collaboration with McG and is set in the manga centre of Japan – Akihabara. The exhibition is entitled “Pop Life: Art in a Material World“. Check it out.

Smokehouse Deli

The Busride is an architectural/design firm located in Mumbai, India that creates simply amazing spaces. Check out some of these photos of the Smokehouse Deli which they designed in New Delhi. The space was entirely hand-illustrated over just a 25 day period and is designed to create an eccentric interaction between 2D and 3D space while poking fun at “serious restaurant” design. Very cool.
